Our Engagement Shoot...

Considering it has been over a year since I last blogged or shared any aspect of my life with you all I think we need to back peddle and start back in February of 2015, there is a journey we have taken and we better not leave any part out.

February 24th, a week after my 27th birthday, saw us jet setting back to paradise. Queenstown was waiting for us and we couldn't get back sooner.
With three days and a full schedule of wedding planning appointments we started our short skip, hop and jump over the pond to our beautiful neighbours in New Zealand.
We were delayed on our flight into Queenstown so we were running late for our first appointment that evening and one appointment that we had been hanging out for, our engagement shoot with an amazing local photographer Dan Childs, but God was on our side we just with a couple of minutes to spare made it to our stunning accommodation, at the Commonage Villas, before he arrived.

We spent the night exploring the outskirts for Queenstown, from parks to rivers, from wineries to mountain tops. We captured our true love like we had never had the chance to do before.

Dan Childs lives in Queenstown but he is actually Australian born, it was great to have a photographer that we were so at ease with, there were no awkward parts at all. Because of the calm and the laughter he bought us we both agreed there would be no one else we would have to capture our wedding day, and we made the best choice but you'll have to wait for those beauties, but for now here are some that were captured on that night, Summer 2015.

These are just a few from that night, there were quite a few more but these are just some of our favourites.

The journey continues and but all great stories are worth the wait, till next time...
Be kind and spread your light and love through the world.

Hello it's me again... and I have a new name!

It has seriously been ages since I have even gotten chance to sign onto this blog account, I would estimate around a year. So much has happened so I thought I would touch base with you all and say a huge "hi".

So if you haven't already noticed by the name of this post, I am now married!
Scott and I got married on the 24th of September 2015 in the magical town of Queenstown on the south island of New Zealand. It's been just over three months and it's still hard to believe that after 11 years we are finally husband and wife. Every time I see my name on a letter or on a Facebook status I have to do a double take and after a few seconds I realise that it's me and a huge smile covers my face, it's the greatest feeling.

So other than getting married this past year we have traveled to New Zealand twice and then went to Japan later in 2015, I started a uni degree in design focusing on photography, we moved into a small unit together and had many many adventures, some good and some hard.

I will share with you all our magical adventures in the time to come as I slowly get back into writing and sharing my world and mind with everyone again. For now I will leave you with a happy snap from our wedding, but the details of our fairytale wedding will come another day!

Take care everyone, and remember you are the sprinkle on top of a cupcake!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hi Dolls,

I know it's still a week to go but it's never too early for a cute outfit!!

If there was one American Holiday that I could choose to recreate here in Australia it would have to be Thanksgiving. Why don't we have a day where everyone stops to appreciate what they have and to give thanks for everything life has for offer.

Here it is actually Spring not Autumn, but I'm a lover of the cooler fall weather so I wanted to capture the stunning colours of the Harvest and create a cozy outfit fit for a chilly Autumn day.

I am a huge fan of the Burberry checked scarves, I myself own the house check, but this warm toned scarf was my inspiration for this outfit. Everything is more cosier with a nice scarf.
I found the most adorable Thanksgiving sweater and just had to use it, when else can you wear a sweater that says "Gobble, Gobble"?
Deep reds are a must for Autumn and I may have gone a little crazy but I think it added life and warmth to a cold days outfit. Skinny jeans are perfect with a slouchy sweater and cute Mary Jane's go with any outfit.

My favourite lip shade for Autumn and Winter is a nice deep plum, so of course this outfit needed a dark lip. Matched with deep red nails and bag and this look is all ready for a day of thanks, turkey and cuddles by the fire.

What are your plans for Thanksgiving?
We are having a mini Thanksgiving this year with my parents, I can't wait!

Pretty Pastels: Mint Patty!

Pretty Pastels!

Hi Dolls,

Spring is in full swing and for me that means pastels are all the rage!
I may dress like a 1950s house wife but boy do I feel good looking like one.

I start with a Candy Stripes themed dress in mint, one of my favourite colours, and pair in some adorable mint flats which accents the bag that also adds a splash of colour with the coral. Necklace and nails to match and I am all ready to sit in the garden amongst the flowers!

I hope you all had a truly wonderful weekend!

Gluten Free and Vegan Lemon and Blueberry Muffins!

Hi Dolls,

I have been playing the role of the Domestic Goddess lately and have been cooking up a storm, amongst the storms that have been happening outside.
I have gone through a stage of throwing wacky things together and creating amazing tasting dishes.

But a couple of weeks back my Grandparents brought over some lemons straight off of their tree, so I have been finding ways to use up, the two large shopping bags full of lemons.
I don't know if you have noticed, I love blueberries! I have used them so many times in recipes on here but I can't help myself they are just so darn delicious.
So I decided to mix both of these wonderful creations from God's garden and make some delectable goodies for my special visitor.

So lets get down to it,
You are going to need:

-2 1/3 cups of All Purpose Gluten Free Flour
-1/3 cup of Polenta
- 1 tbsp. of Gluten Free Baking Powder
-3/4 tsp. Salt
-3/4 cup of Coconut Sugar
- 1 1/2 sticks of Vegan Butter
- 1 1/3 cups of Almond Milk
- Egg Replacer to the value of 2 Eggs
-1 tsp. Vanilla
- 3 tbsp. Fresh Lemon Juice
- 3 tbsp. Lemon Zest
- 2 cups of Blueberries

If you are making a non vegan and non gluten free recipe follow below,

-2 1/3 cups of Plain Flour
-1/3 cup of Polenta
- 1 tbsp. of Baking Powder
-3/4 tsp. Salt
-3/4 cup of Sugar
- 1 1/2 sticks of Butter
- 1 1/3 cups of Milk
- 2 Eggs
-1 tsp. Vanilla
- 3 tbsp. Fresh Lemon Juice
- 3 tbsp. Lemon Zest
- 2 cups of Blueberries

Now we are going to start by preheating the oven at 200ºC, or 390ºF.
Line a muffin tray with your choice of liners or grease if you would prefer.
I used an electric mixer to make these muffins, and if you choose to do the same, make sure to never over mix your muffins because they will go hard.

In my mixing bowl a beat together the sugar and eggs on medium speed. Then added the butter and beat on higher speed until the mixture was fluffy. Add in the vanilla and the lemon juice and beat on medium speed for 1 minute.

Add half of the dry mixture to the mixer and whirl away. Add the almond milk and keep on mixing.
Add the rest of the flour mixture and mix until everything is combined into a lovely batter.

Stir in the blueberries and the lemon zest and we are all ready to spoon the mixture into the muffin cases.

Bake in the oven for 20-25mins. Once your skewer test comes out clean your muffins are ready to cool on a wire rack.
Or if you're like me, ready to pull open and eat that steamy hot goodness!

I hope you have enjoyed this Spooky Halloween Special, who am I kidding this post is basically puppies and rainbows!

Have an amazing weekend filled with love and laughs!

Halloween Inspiration: Minnie Mouse!

Minnie Mouse!

Hi Dolls,

Only a couple of days until Halloween and I am posting my last Halloween Inspired post for the year, and who other then the queen of Disney.

I have been to many costume parties where someone is dressed up as Minnie Mouse and they always looked the best at the party. The bright colours and polka dots make for a super fun choice this Halloween.

I chose to make this look for a more adult look by the use of a bustier which is perfect for a Minnie Mouse look. Paired with a cute A-Line skirt, which is my favourite shaped skirt, finishes off this look.
Of course it's no Minnie Mouse without the iconic ears and bright yellow shoes. I chose a cute wedge to make it more modern and chic.

I hope you all have an amazing week!

Halloween Inspiration Princess Edition: Snow White!

Snow White!

Hi Dolls,

Princesses were my thing when I was growing up, and dare I admit it, they still are.
Snow White has always been one of my favourites and her outfit is one of the cutest of all the princess. Withe the choice of colours and cute accessories, it's an easy must for a Halloween costume.

I chose to keep her style innocent but added a bit of modern to it by placing the peter pan collared top with a skater skirt. Bows are a must when dressing up as this little Princess, I opted for a small head band but I think  why not go all out and have a huge statement piece instead.
Shoes always top off an outfit and I love these wedged platforms, they have the traditional style of a princess but the brightness we need to pull off a Disney character.
Red lips are a must and so is the snow white complexion.

By far one of the more fun choices for this Halloween!

Confessions of a Fashion Lover!

Hi Dolls,

I'm sitting here watching Australia's newest fashion show, Fashion Bloggers, thinking how blessed we are to be living in a time where fashion can be expressed in so many different ways.
We no longer live in a time were fashion is controlled by a handful of designers trying to get all of the profits but rather an ocean of designers where we can find whatever style that best suits each persons personality.

Fashion is something that has been my passion from a young age. I was raised in a low income family, but being the only girl, my parents always made sure I was dressed in the prettiest, frilliest dresses possible. So I blame them completely for my love of dresses and everything girly.

I love seeing people who are brave enough to stand out of the crowd with their fashion sense. I think fashion is portable art, an expression of the artist wearing it.
If you have been following my blog for a while you would have noticed that I tend to dress like a Japanese school girl or a toddler, depending my mood. But the great thing is I don't have to be the same person every day, the next day I can be more reserved and follow a more low key style.

A couple of designers I love to wear are Alannah Hill, when she was designing for the brand, and also Review. What I love about both of these brands is the vintage inspiration they both have. I also love the use of vintage tones and the way they keep their style feminine and chic.

What I can't go without are scarves, stockings and cute skirts.
I own so many of each of these things, every time I see a unique pair of stockings I can't help myself. Asian online stores sell some of the most beautiful and cute stockings that you can't find anywhere else, and best of all they are so cheap.
Scarves is something that I wear every single day, as I am typing this I'm wearing a knitted scarf in the shape of a fox scarf quirky I know. I have had to find crazy ways to store all my scarves because they literally took up half of my closet.
I find skirts are a practical option for every season, that's why I love them so much. Pair a nice skirt with some stockings and you have changed a Summer look to a Winter one.

I have seen how cruel people can be about others dressing uniquely, this is one thing that upsets me more than anything. I am a big believer in everyone being able to dress the way that makes them feel happy and beautiful.

I find it really hard to part with old clothes, if they are still in good condition I will keep them in storage and revamp them the following year and most of the time the styles have made a come back and I have gotten more use out of the pieces.
I own way too many articles of clothing and literally every day I look in my closet and think I need to break the chord and donate some of my collection, but the collection hasn't changed.

My style icons are Kate Middleton and Zooey Deschanel. Both of these woman hold themselves in a strong feminine way but each add their own flare to their outfits.
Zooey Deschanel has a unique vintage look that I have loved from the first time I saw here back in 2000.

Being beautiful to me is being able to feel comfortable and confident in what I wear, which would be a cute dress, with my hair in loose curls with a small side braid.

My friends best describe my style as a 50s house wife, which is exactly how I like to hold myself.
Feminine, Vintage and Chic.

Fashion is something that will always be close to my heart.

Have an amazing week Lovelies!!

Halloween Inspiration: Hello Kitty!

Hello Kitty!

Hi Dolls,

The next outfit in our character inspirations for Halloween happens to be my favourite character Hello Kitty.
I love everything about Hello Kitty, I'm not sure what started my love of her but I can get a but over the top when it comes to cute Japanese characters, even though Hello Kitty is English.

Hello Kitty is probably one of the simplest characters to recreate, basically she wears a red romper with a white t-shirt underneath. It's so simple that you could pick up the items at most cheap department stores.
I added a little Japanese cuteness by adding some cat flats and the iconic Hello Kitty bow.
Of course you have to add some adorable whiskers and a little button nose to top the look off perfectly!

I hope you all had an amazing weekend!

Halloween Special: Jack Skellington!

Jack Skellington!

Hi Dolls,

So it's nearing that time of year again, and even though I don't participate in, I thought it would be fun to have some halloween inspired outfits in the coming weeks.

So my first outfit is inspired by one of my favourite children's movies and is also by one of my favourite film makers, Tim Burton, the amazing The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Jack Skellington, the main character, is one of the easiest characters to recreate. Basically his just a pin striped suit with a big bow tie.
To make this look more feminine, I have paired this look with some simple black pumps, which are a must in every woman's wardrobe.

I hope you all have an amazing week!

High glam!

High glam!

Hi Dolls,

I am one huge fan of red, white and black. I also love to not look boring for work and try to create a bright and fun look for my work clothes.
Pencil skirts are a must in any working woman's wardrobe and adding a pattern like polka dots makes it unique and really cute.

Melbourne's weather is getting warmer and I am looking for styles that I can easily adapt to the quick changes in the weather through the day, and having the choice to whip off a blazer when I get too hot is a must for me.

I also believe that less is more with business attire, none or very minimal jewellery.
Use your shoes and bag as the only accessories needed.

I hope you all have had an amazing week!

Black and White Love!

Black and white
Hi Dolls,

One of my loves straight out of Hollywood would have to be none other than Emma Stone, her quirky ways captured me from day dot and have continued to keep me intrigued by her and her movies.
But it's not only her movies that are fantastic but also her amazing dress sense.
Emma turns a plain business look into something fun and unique. I love the use of stripes, I am a huge stripe fan and I am currently looking for a shirt similar to this one for my business wardrobe.
I love blouses paired with some nice skinny jeans, it makes the look go from I'm all about the money to I'm ready for a good time.

I hope you all are having an amazing week,
